The hardest hitting horns in Jazz

QCBA is the brainchild of Quentin Collins on trumpet & Brandon Allen on sax. They are an organ driven quartet of virtuosos playing smart, sassy, contemporary original music, influenced by the great Blue Note era of 1960’s. Completing the line up are the masterful Ross Stanley on Hammond organ & Enzo Zirilli on drums.

Since their inception in 2008, QCBA have taken the contemporary jazz scene by storm, having performed across the UK and Europe at many top venues & festivals including Ronnie Scotts, Pizza Express Dean Street, Bravo Caffe Bologna, Jazzino in Cagliari, Douro Jazz Festival in Portugal and Scarborough Jazz Festival.

In 2011 they released their highly acclaimed debut album “What’s It Gonna Be?” on Sunlightsquare Records and followed it up with a 35 date UK & European tour during 2012.

QCBA are also noted for collaborating with a broad range of artists such as Liane Carroll, Omar, Paloma Faith, Hamish Stuart & Natalie Williams.

This has enabled them to develop the eclectic sound that is so evident on their second studio album "Beauty in Quiet Places", released September 2015 on Ubuntu Music, which brings together a melting pot of Jazz, Brazilian and Funk, and crucially always swinging!

In addition, QCBA extends its offering through the collaboration with Omar, delivering a fantastic melange of jazz, R&B, funk and soul wherever it performs.
